"Facebook Glitch Brings New Privacy Worries"

This is an article I read today in The New York Times called "Facebook Glitch Brings New Privacy Worries" by Jenna Wortham. It talks about a recent Facebook glitch which "gave [users] access to supposedly private information in the accounts of their Facebook friends, like chat conversations." Although this glitch was fixed after a few hours, the fact that it A) occurred and B) even lasted that long, is terrifying. As we've been discussing in regards to the Web 3.0 and the semantic web, can we really feel safe with all this internet transparency when we have tons of private information on the web?
